Meet Ms. Gigi

M.s., CCC-SLP, TSSLD

Ms. Gigi is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist, Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD),

and founder of Sea of Sounds Speech Therapy & Literacy Learning Center.

With over a decade of experience serving children across school, clinic, and community settings, she specializes in bridging the gap

between speech-language pathology and structured literacy instruction to support the whole child.

Recognizing that many children struggle not only with speech and language, but also with reading, writing, comprehension, and academic confidence, Ms. Gigi developed a unique model that integrates evidence-based speech-language therapy with the

Science of Reading and Orton-Gillingham methodology via IMSE (Institute for Multisensory Education).

Her approach addresses the foundational language skills that support literacy development, including

phonological awareness, vocabulary, oral language, comprehension, narrative skills, and written expression.

Throughout her career, Ms. Gigi has worked extensively with children presenting with speech and language disorders, dyslexia, reading difficulties, childhood apraxia of speech, autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, and other learning differences. She believes that communication and literacy are deeply interconnected and that successful intervention requires addressing both simultaneously.

As an Orton-Gillingham-trained practitioner, she combines structured, multisensory literacy instruction with her expertise in speech-language development to help children become stronger readers, writers, communicators, and learners. Her work focuses on identifying and remediating the underlying language-based challenges that often impact academic performance while fostering confidence and independence.

At Sea of Sounds, Ms. Gigi leads a team of highly qualified speech-language pathologists and educators who share her commitment to evidence-based practice and individualized instruction. Together, they provide speech therapy, feeding therapy, structured literacy intervention, multisensory math, academic support, and enrichment services to children across Brooklyn and Staten Island.

Ms. Gigi's mission is simple: to bridge the gap between communication and literacy, ensuring that every child receives the specialized support they need to thrive both academically and socially. Through a collaborative, data-driven approach, she partners closely with families to help children build the skills, confidence, and resilience necessary for lifelong success.
