At Sea of Sounds, we proudly serve children and families throughout Bay Ridge, Park Slope, and Staten Island with evidence-based speech therapy, feeding therapy, literacy intervention, and academic support services.

Our team specializes in helping children build confidence as communicators, readers, writers, and learners through individualized, strengths-based care. We support a wide range of needs, including speech and language delays, articulation disorders, Childhood Apraxia of Speech, autism and social communication differences, AAC, feeding challenges, dyslexia, and literacy difficulties.

What makes Sea of Sounds unique is our integration of speech-language pathology expertise with IMSE Orton-Gillingham structured literacy instruction and the Science of Reading. By addressing the language foundations that support communication, reading, writing, and learning, we help children make meaningful progress across settings.

With convenient locations in Bay Ridge, Park Slope, and Staten Island, we are committed to providing high-quality, personalized services that empower children and support families every step of the way.

We provide comprehensive evaluations and therapy services for speech sound disorders, language delays, social communication challenges, fluency disorders, feeding difficulties, and more. Therapy is individualized, family-centered, and designed to support success across home, school, and community settings. We offer individual and/or group options.

Beyond literacy, we offer academic enrichment, multisensory math instruction, executive functioning support, study skills coaching, and educational consultation. Our goal is not only to improve academic performance, but also to foster confidence, independence, and a love of learning.

Our literacy programs utilize Orton-Gillingham instruction through IMSE and are rooted in the Science of Reading. Students receive explicit, systematic, and multisensory instruction in phonological awareness, phonics, spelling, reading fluency, vocabulary, comprehension, and writing. Whether a child is struggling with reading or has a diagnosis of dyslexia, our goal is to build confident, capable readers.

Our programs are grounded in evidence-based practice, the Science of Reading, and individualized intervention. We combine clinical expertise with engaging, multisensory instruction to create learning experiences that are effective, motivating, and tailored to each learner's strengths and needs.
