Welcome to Sea of Sounds Speech Therapy

Sea of Sounds is a multidisciplinary practice dedicated to helping children, adolescents, and adults develop strong communication, literacy, and learning skills. We believe that speech, language, reading, writing, and academic success are deeply connected. Our team of licensed Speech-Language Pathologists and state-certified educators provides personalized, evidence-based services that address the whole learner, not just individual symptoms. Through a unique combination of speech-language expertise, Structured Literacy, and the Science of Reading, we help individuals build confidence, independence, and skills that last a lifetime. Serving families throughout New York in our Brooklyn and Staten Island locations, virtually, in homes, and within schools.

Our literacy programs utilize Orton-Gillingham instruction through IMSE and are rooted in the Science of Reading. Students receive explicit, systematic, and multisensory instruction in phonological awareness, phonics, spelling, reading fluency, vocabulary, comprehension, and writing. Whether a child is struggling with reading or has a diagnosis of dyslexia, our goal is to build confident, capable readers.

We provide comprehensive evaluations and therapy services for speech sound disorders, language delays, social communication challenges, fluency disorders, feeding difficulties, and more. Therapy is individualized, family-centered, and designed to support success across home, school, and community settings. We offer individual and/or group options.

Beyond literacy, we offer academic enrichment, multisensory math instruction, executive functioning support, study skills coaching, and educational consultation. Our goal is not only to improve academic performance, but also to foster confidence, independence, and a love of learning.
